The Last Battle

Won’t wait in a cage till someone comes to rescue me. I thought maybe I’d stay there but I can’t let myself be weak. The devil dressed herself up in a handsome, loving smile and she’s been pulling the wool over my eyes for all this time. And I’m surely longing for someone to care for. I won’t be the devil’s whore, no more, no more. She’d happily hold us both down and keep all eyes off the prize, but love is letting you go love, not tying you to my side. Hard to tell it from control because they look so alike, but in truth they are as different as the left is from the right.
